I’m honored to share that, beginning this August, I’ll be serving as the President of the Volusia County Bar Association.
At Thursday’s Bench and Bar-B-Que in New Smyrna Beach, I had the opportunity to step into this role publicly for the first time—and it was a meaningful moment. Surrounded by colleagues, friends, and members of the judiciary, I was reminded once again of the power of community within our profession.
One of the evening’s highlights was celebrating our 50-year honorees, Jerry Wells and Daniel Wallace, individuals whose decades of service represent the very best of what it means to be part of this legal tradition. Reflecting on how much the profession has changed since they began, I was struck by how much has stayed the same: our commitment to integrity, advocacy, and one another.
As we look toward the year ahead, I’m excited to deepen connections, strengthen collaboration, and support the important work of the VCBA. Thank you for your trust—I’m ready to get started.
