The United States Copyright Office is increasing its fees on March 20, 2020. The standard online registration fee will increase from $55 to $65 and the filing fee for a work by a single author with the same claimant will increase from $35 to $45. Other processing and filing fees have been increased, decreased or stayed the same as well. The fee changes are a result of evaluating the budget and costs associated with the Copyright Office along with the consideration of public comments.
A list of all of the fee changes can be found on the United States Copyright Office’s site at https://www.copyright.gov/about/2020-fees.pdf
