Meet the Attorney
Law firm founder Attorney Lori Sandman primarily serves as an intellectual property lawyer and alternative dispute resolution practitioner. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the state of Florida, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She is a licensed patent law attorney through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition, she also holds certifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Collaborative Law Practice (PACP). Attorney Sandman is also an adjunct professor, teaching transactional law, business law and patent law.
Education
Lori Sandman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont, where she studied Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. After graduate coursework and extensive research in molecular biology and biophysics, she worked in the areas of soil and environmental science, applying academic and practical experience to natural resources concerns. She went on to attend the University of Montana School of Law in Missoula, where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree.
Accomplishments and Awards
Attorney Sandman holds a number of different accomplishments, awards, and accolades to her credit. She is a proud recipient of the American Bar Association Award for Excellence in the study of Intellectual Property Law. She also received the Outstanding Student in International Law Award from the University of Montana, where she completed her graduate law studies. Attorney Sandman is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), the Berks County Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (AIPLA), the Florida Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Practice (IACP) and the Pennsylvania Collaborative Practice (PACP). She also serves as Chair for the Volusia County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Section.

When she’s not assisting clients with business and intellectual property law cases, Attorney Sandman can often be found in the classroom as she is an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Florida Coastal School of Law, where she teaches courses on topics such as transactional law, patent law, and business law.
